Christopher W. Ives, Jr., MD
Dr. Ives was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Fairhope, AL. He graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, where he graduated summa cum laude and was named to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He completed medical school, internal medicine residency, cardiology fellowship (where he served as Chief Fellow), and interventional cardiology fellowship training at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. For his passion in providing comprehensive patient care and medical education, Dr. Ives has been awarded multiple clinical and teaching excellence awards, including election to Alpha Omega Alpha.
Dr. Ives is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is also board-certified in adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound, and cardiovascular CT interpretation.
Dr. Ives and his wife enjoy spending time with their boys, exploring the ever-evolving Birmingham area food scene, and listening to live music.
